LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The nickname is King James he is widely thought to be one of the best athletes of all time. He has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player ever. James has been awarded four NBA championships, four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James holds the record for the most number of points scored in the postseason, second highest all-time score, and the 7th most career assists. This is a record for the NBA for him to be an NBA All-Star for 18 years. Ten NBA Finals is the most ever, including eight consecutively from 2011 to 2018. In 2018 he was also selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. James made the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. He was the very first NBA player to score 10,000 career points. James played basketball with St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron in Ohio. He was hailed by national media as the future NBA superstar. He was a prep-to pro and was the first selection of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft in 2003. He was voted as the NBA rookie of the year in 2004. He soon became one of the best athletes of the NBA and was awarded both the NBA MVP Award both the years 2009 and 2010. James signed for the Miami Heat in 2010 when James became a Free Agent after not achieving an NBA Championship in Cleveland. The announcement was made on The Decision.
